The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a new pricing structure for its services, aimed at reflecting current operational realities while ensuring affordability for Nigerians.
In a statement released Thursday and signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Kayode Adegoke, the commission said the revised charges take immediate effect.
While the statement did not clarify whether the costs have increased or decreased, NIMC disclosed that the updated prices would be available on its official website starting Friday.

Explaining the rationale behind the adjustment, the commission said the decision followed a comprehensive review to align with industry benchmarks and sustain service quality and integrity.
“NIMC warns all Front-End Partners (FEPs) to strictly comply with the approved pricing. Any FEP found overcharging will face disciplinary measures, including possible license revocation,” the statement noted.
The commission reaffirmed its commitment to transparent and fair pricing, encouraging Nigerians to report any violations to its Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit via email at [email protected] or by calling 08155015388.
Director-General of NIMC, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, expressed gratitude to Nigerians, government agencies, and partners for their support.
She also thanked President Bola Tinubu, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, harmonisation stakeholders, and NIMC staff for their contributions to strengthening Nigeria’s national identity infrastructure.
As of February 28, 2025, the commission reported that enrollment for the National Identification Number (NIN) had reached 117,361,324.
