North won’t support Peter Obi, biggest importer of alcohol – APC chief Hassan

Date:

Alwan Hassan, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that the northern region of Nigeria will not support Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.

Hassan made the assertion during an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today”.

Hassan questioned why Obi would expect support from the north, describing the former Anambra State governor as “the biggest importer of alcohol.”

He said: “Who else do you think would defeat Asiwaju come 2027? Who? Peter Obi that was on your programme, saying he wants the north to support him and trust him. At the same time in the same programme, he’s celebrating building breweries in Anambra State and being the biggest importer of alcohol, and he wants the north to vote for him? We’ll vote for a president that will import alcohol in the north?

“Or is it those ones that are saying their wives are taking care of them. We cannot hand over this country to people, to men that are being fed by their wives.”
