Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, is facing allegations of assault following an altercation with a journalist in Istanbul, Turkey. The incident reportedly occurred during a late-night outing when Osimhen, who is currently on loan to Galatasaray from Napoli, was leaving an entertainment venue with friends.

According to Posta Newspaper, a group of journalists, including Tolga Bozduman, were attempting to capture photos of the Nigerian footballer as he exited the venue.

The situation quickly spiraled out of control, leading to accusations that Osimhen punched one of the reporters.

Details of the confrontation remain unclear, but the incident has sparked a wave of media attention, and authorities are reportedly investigating the altercation.

Bozduman said: “I filmed Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues.

“When the flashes went off, all hell broke loose. He ran towards me, screaming. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him.

“The punch he threw hit me in the head. My right side still hurts. He then started swearing.

“Then he offered, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money.’ When I refused, he threatened me by saying, I’ll destroy you.”

Bozduman’s charges have yet to be officially addressed by Osimhen or Galatasaray.
