PFN re-elects Wale Oke as national president

Date:

Bishop Wale Oke has been re-elected as National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria for another four-year term.

The election took place at the PFN’s current 18th National Biennial Conference, which was hosted at the Glory Dome in Abuja.

The meeting, which began on Tuesday, is slated to finish on Friday.

Announcing his re-election on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, Oke wrote, “Honoured to be re-elected as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Oke faced accusations of poor performance ahead of the election, which the PFN leadership dismissed as politically motivated attempts to tarnish his reputation before the February conference.

Oke, the founder of Sword of the Spirit Ministries International and Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University, was elected PFN National President for the first time in 2021.

Following his tenure as Deputy President, he became the PFN’s seventh president.

Oke began his ministry in a home fellowship in Ibadan and later served as a Bible Study leader under Pastor Enoch Adeboye in Christ Redeemers Ministry.

His leadership journey continued during his time at the University of Lagos, where he played a significant role in the Lagos Varsity Christian Union, serving as Bible Study Secretary and later as President for two and a half years.
