Primate Ayodele advises Abiru, Seyi Tinubu, Jandor against contesting 2027 Lagos governorship seat

Date:

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a bold warning to several prominent politicians in Lagos State, advising them not to contest the 2027 governorship election.

According to the renowned prophet, figures such as Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Gbenga Ashafa, and Seyi Tinubu have no chance of winning the race.

In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele predicted a highly competitive 2027 governorship contest but emphasized that many of the current aspirants would be disappointed by the outcome. Although some individuals have yet to officially announce their intentions, political maneuvering in the state has already begun.

Primate Ayodele also addressed figures from other parties. He warned Jide Adeniran, also known as ‘Jandor’ from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), not to waste his resources pursuing the governorship seat, asserting that his bid would ultimately be unsuccessful. Similarly, he advised Gbadebo Rhodes, the Labour Party candidate in the previous election, to abandon any hopes of future success in the race.

“The 2027 governorship race in Lagos will be fiercely contested, and it will humiliate some powerful contenders. Many who are interested now will face defeat,” the prophet stated.

“I urge Tokunbo Abiru, Gbenga Ashafa, Seyi Tinubu, Jide Adeniran, and Gbadebo Rhodes to rethink their ambitions. They will not become governor if they proceed with their plans. They should not be swayed by external pressures; it won’t work for them.”

However, Primate Ayodele suggested that the only viable contender for the governorship seat at this time is Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the current Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu, unless circumstances change.

The prophet also cautioned Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, to be prayerful if he harbors any gubernatorial ambitions, warning that he will face significant spiritual opposition.

“If Femi Gbajabiamila has ambitions, only God can help him. He must seek divine intervention because spiritual forces will challenge his plans,” Primate Ayodele declared.

Additionally, the spiritual leader urged members of Lagos State’s Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) to be wary of internal divisions as the 2027 election approaches.

He advised them to pray for unity and protection against misfortunes, as the race could lead to fragmentation within the council.

“The 2027 governorship race will divide the GAC, and they must pray to avoid conflict and bereavement,” he warned.

As the political scene heats up ahead of the 2027 election, Primate Ayodele’s prophetic statements are sure to stir further discussions about the future of Lagos State’s leadership.
