Fresh protests rocks Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Monday as residents took to the streets to denounce the relentless killings of indigenous people by suspected Fulani militants.
Led by Christian leaders, including the Plateau State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Polycarp Lubo, the protest began at Fwavwei Junction and quickly escalated, causing major traffic congestion and leaving many commuters stranded.
The demonstrations were sparked by a recent wave of violence that has left over 100 people dead in Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas within the last two weeks.

“We are tired of the unending bloodshed in our communities. This protest is our cry for help,” said Gyang Dalyop, one of the protesters.
Another demonstrator, Hannatu Philip, appealed to the government to act swiftly, warning that continued inaction could lead to further chaos and instability.
Carrying placards with messages demanding justice and security, the protesters marched toward the Rayfield Government House, calling for urgent government intervention to end the violence and restore peace.
