On Thursday, the Senate approved President Bola Tinubu’s request for a $2.2 billion loan.
The approval followed a thorough review of the proposal, led by Aliyu Wamakko, Chairman of the Committee on Local and Foreign Debt.
Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who presided over the session, commended the committee for its swift and detailed evaluation of the loan request.
