Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has called for the expulsion of key members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who he claims worked against the party during the 2023 general elections.
Speaking on Channels Television’s “Politics Today,” Lamido specifically named Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, and former Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, urging the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) to take disciplinary action.
“All those erring members, the Wikes, the Ortoms, the Ikpeazus and others, who openly campaigned against the PDP in the 2023 elections, and who say that they are going to work for the APC in 2027, should be sacked from the party,” Lamido stated.

The former governor expressed his frustration with what he called a “long-standing culture of impunity” within the PDP, emphasizing that the party’s leadership must now enforce its constitution.
He lamented that for over 18 months, the party had tolerated members who, due to personal ambition, actively worked against the party after the 2022 primaries.
Lamido also revealed that he is boycotting meetings of the party’s Board of Trustees (BOT) until these individuals are sanctioned.
His comments come as the PDP’s NWC recently issued a warning to members who are openly supporting President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections, stating that such actions are “anti-party” and will lead to “stiffer sanctions.”
