Idowu Iluyomade, the suspended pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s (RCCG) City of David Parish, has announced the launch of his new ministry, “The Family Fellowship,” based in Lagos.
This move comes after his suspension by RCCG in June 2024, following controversy surrounding his wife Pastor Siju Iluyomade’s 60th birthday celebration.
The birthday event, which took place shortly after the death of prominent church member Herbert Wigwe, was widely criticized for its timing, sparking public outcry within the church community.

Undeterred, Iluyomade held the inaugural service for “The Family Fellowship” at the Civic Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, where attendees were treated to an atmosphere of joy and celebration, marked by dancing and music.
In a heartfelt invitation to the public, Iluyomade promised that the new fellowship would provide a fulfilling and enriching experience, calling on all to join and be part of this fresh spiritual journey.
He wrote on Instagram, “The Family Fellowship invites you specially. Join us tomorrow at the Civic Centre for a special time in the Lord’s presence. Promises to be a great experience.”
