Taraba State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Aminu Alkali, has returned to Jalingo after being away for approximately four months due to health reasons.
According to Daily Trust, Alkali arrived at the Danbaba Suntai Airport, Jalingo, at about 1:40 p.m. on a chartered flight.
His arrival went largely unnoticed as journalists were not notified in advance and were absent at the airport.

Sources revealed that the Deputy Governor was first taken to Abuja for treatment of an undisclosed illness before being flown to Egypt for further medical care.
“We only heard about his return after he arrived. There was no prior information,” said a reporter assigned to the Deputy Governor’s office.
Efforts to get an official statement were hampered by the absence of a press secretary in the Deputy Governor’s office.
However, the Governor’s Senior Assistant on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, confirmed Alkali’s return but did not provide further details.
