Tinubu confers GCON on Indian PM Modi

President Bola Tinubu has conferred Nigeria’s second highest honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) on Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, while on his state visit to Nigeria, on Sunday, November 17.

Tinubu described the Indian PM as a friend of Nigeria.

This was made known via a post on the X handle of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun.

The post reads: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Honours Prime Minister #narendramodi.

“Confers him with Nigeria’s second highest honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) declares him friend of Nigeria.”
