Akinpelu explained that the victims had unknowingly left their doors open to either use the restroom or wash dishes, allowing the thief to slip inside and steal two mobile phones. The thief reportedly asked the victims about laptops, but when they denied having any, he fled after an alarm was raised.

The university spokesperson assured that the police had been notified and were actively investigating the incident.
