Total loyalty or face sanctions, PDP cautions members

Date:

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to its members, making it clear that acts of disloyalty will not be condoned and that unwavering dedication to the party’s ideals remains a fundamental requirement.

Addressing journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, stated that the PDP would strictly apply its constitution to uphold discipline and ensure members stay committed to its mission.

When asked about the recent demands made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as a prerequisite for the success of the National Elective Convention scheduled for November 15 and 16, Ologunagba maintained that the PDP’s strength lies in its collective vision rather than the influence of any single person.

He stated, “We have zero tolerance for anti-party activities. We expect and demand total loyalty from all our members. Anything short of that will not be tolerated, and we shall invoke the relevant sections of the party’s constitution to enforce this.”
