Despite fitness setbacks, the 24-year-old managed to score 11 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions, including a memorable goal against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that while Milan is exploring other attacking options, the club considers Boniface an appealing target who could be signed at a reasonable cost.
The Nigerian striker was previously on the verge of a move to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Nassr during the January transfer window.
Boniface joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise. He currently has three years remaining on his deal with the Bundesliga champions.
