Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has disclosed the demise of his father.
On Friday, he shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, posting a message that read, “Rest in peace, dad,” alongside a tearful emoji.
While Nwabali did not disclose the cause of his father’s passing, the emotional tribute reflects his deep sorrow during this difficult time.
Nwabali was in goal on Thursday when Benin Republic held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification match.
With Nigeria already qualified for the tournament, the draw, played in Ivory Coast, ensures they will finish top of the group.
