With the squad nearly complete, anticipation is building for the team’s first full training session later on Tuesday evening.
The Super Eagles are under increasing pressure as they approach these decisive matches. Winless in their last four outings and currently sitting in fifth place with only three points, Nigeria’s path to the World Cup is looking precarious.
The upcoming qualifiers are seen as make-or-break for Nigeria’s qualification hopes, and head coach Eric Chelle is facing intense scrutiny to turn the team’s fortunes around.
Nigeria will take on group leaders Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25. With World Cup qualification hanging in the balance, the team is focused on securing crucial victories in both matches to revive their chances of reaching the tournament.
