A warm reception is underway at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as high-ranking government officials gather to welcome the Super Falcons back to Nigeria following their triumphant outing at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
A video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday captured the moment several dignitaries arrived at the airport to greet the champions.

Notable figures in attendance include the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani; Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.
They were joined by a number of federal ministers, top sports administrators, and other officials.
The Super Falcons secured their historic 10th WAFCON crown over the weekend with a hard-fought victory against host nation Morocco in a dramatic final played in Rabat.
