We’re ready to conquer league, cup, champions league, says Osimhen

Date:

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has officially joined Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray on a permanent basis, finalizing a high-profile transfer valued at €75 million.

The Turkish club confirmed the acquisition of the Super Eagles star—who was previously on loan from Napoli—via a statement released on Thursday.

The 26-year-old forward signed a four-year contract with the Turkish champions, which includes an annual salary of €15 million. In addition to his base wage, Osimhen is entitled to a €1 million loyalty bonus and €5 million in image rights.

Reacting to his permanent move, Osimhen expressed delight and optimism about the future with Galatasaray.

“I’m so happy to be a part of the Galatasaray family again. First of all, I want to thank my President and Vice President. We have a very positive team right now,” he told the club’s website.

“I’m so proud to be here. You know my quality from last season. I believe that next season, with the quality of both myself and my teammates, we will achieve even greater success with a much greater sense of belonging.

“We will give our all on the pitch, not only in the league and cup, but also in the Champions League, one of our main goals.”

Confirming that the official completion of the deal, Galatasaray stated: “Regarding the transfer of professional footballer Victor James Osimhen, an agreement has been reached with his club, SSCN Napoli SPA.”

“In this context, a net transfer fee of €75,000,000 will be paid to the player’s former club,” the club wrote on their social media pages.

As part of the contractual terms, Napoli will also receive 10% of the profit should Galatasaray sell Osimhen in the future.

“Additionally, under the terms of the agreement, 10 per cent of the profit from the player’s next sale will be paid to SSCN Napoli SPA,” the club said.

Notably, the agreement also bars Osimhen from transferring to any Serie A club over the next two seasons.

Last season, Osimhen enjoyed a prolific spell with Galatasaray while on loan, registering 37 goals and eight assists across 41 appearances.

His performance was instrumental in the club’s domestic double triumph.

This move officially brings an end to a long-standing and often turbulent chapter with Napoli, including a rocky period that saw him sidelined early last season amid transfer uncertainties.
