Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has advised Victor Osimhen to reconsider any potential move away from Galatasaray, despite growing speculation over his future.
Galatasaray have reportedly triggered the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract.

However, the structure of the deal proposes a payment plan spread over five years, rather than a one-off transfer fee.
Osimhen, now 26, had an outstanding 2024–25 campaign with the Turkish champions, netting 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions. His contributions played a pivotal role in helping the club secure both the Turkish Super Lig title and the domestic cup, earning him hero status among supporters.
Commenting on the situation, Adepoju shared his thoughts with Footy Africa, expressing his preference for a Juventus move but acknowledging the reality of the transfer market.
“I think in my own opinion, I would have loved him to move to Juventus, but if they cannot match his salary and the transfer fee that Napoli is asking for, then I think he should stay back at Galatasaray,” Adepoju said.
“The fans there love him, and he has spent a year there with a lot of success. I think he should continue there and have more success,” Adepoju said. “He is a good player and with Galatasaray, I believe they will also love to have him back. Once they can reach an agreement, he should join them, in my opinion.”
Osimhen’s potential permanent switch to Galatasaray now hinges on whether Napoli, his parent club, will accept the proposed installment-based fee.
