The All Progressives Congress (APC) is currently showing a strong lead in the Lagos State local government elections, which officially concluded voting at approximately 3:00 PM. Sorting and counting of ballots are now ongoing across the state’s 57 councils.
The emerging results come despite a noticeably low voter turnout observed throughout the day across various councils in the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, speaking to journalists after casting his vote at Polling Unit 006, St. Stephen’s Nursery and Primary School, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, acknowledged the initial delays experienced in the early hours of the polls, attributing them to logistical challenges.
